The Solo Immersion is an experience of deep inner transformation that guides you in taking what's in your soul and making it into a dance.

It's for you if you want a safe space in which you can reconnect to your body and your dance. It’s especially for you if you’re in a period of transition in your life, and you see art-making as a powerful way to learn more about yourself, and to harness your power to invent, re-invent, and transform your world.

this program is for you, if:

You used to identify as a dancer or an artist – or you feel like one deep down – but...

you haven’t been actually dancing or creating

or you do identify as a dancer or an artist now but...

you haven’t been dancing or creating in a way that feels fulfilling and authentic to you

You feel spiritually squelched or uncomfortable in your body often

You're in the midst of transition or are contemplating making a big life transition

You tend to get overwhelmed, unfocused, or scattered, which leads to frustration and stuckness

You long to express yourself and integrate creativity into your life in a healthy, fulfilling, sustainable, and changemaking way

You have been feeling isolated or lost and crave an understanding community

what's in it for you?

Whether it's been forever (or never) since you've taken a dance class, you will be encouraged to:

  • clear out the noise and “busy” energy of your life so that you hear your inner wisdom and can take action from a place of trust and knowing (versus panic/reaction/forced energy)

  • uncover and heal any subconscious wounding to your creativity and self-expression (from personal experience and from our collective history as women) that may be holding you back

  • open up your creative channel physically, emotionally, and spiritually, so that you become more receptive to creative inspiration and opportunities

  • integrate and process your personal stories and journeys into an artistic process (this way, you truly allow your experiences to move through you and create healing and transformation)

  • learn tangible tools and exercises to help you conceive and create a performance piece (which you can use for projects beyond just this one! #toolsforlife)

  • allow your voice and self-expression to be birthed in an authentic way that creates healing for you, your communities, and the world at large

YCDA helps you to get to the root of whatever might be holding you back so that you can bring even more of your power, authenticity, and energy into the people, projects, and causes that truly matter to you.

here's what you get:

part one

Pre-Immersion Group Video Session with Jess: Before meeting in person, you’ll gather virtually to get the process started, begin crafting your intentions, and hold space for the muses to dance through you. You'll get specific instructions on what to do to prep and get the most from our in-person time together.

The Dance REBEL Method: Online Curriculum: Because starting to dance again goes so much deeper than just the studio time and impacts so many areas of your life, we’ll take focused time in a group coaching setting to explore what comes up and how you can use your dance experience to enhance your personal life, work, relationships, creativity, spiritual connection, and more.

Includes:

  • The Dance R.E.B.E.L. Method online course modules

  • Live group coaching sessions once a month (via Zoom video so we can see each other!)

  • Live online dance sessions once a month at every full moon (via Zoom video so we can see each other!)

  • Weekly-ish creative dance prompts (3 time a month, on non-full moon weeks)

  • Membership to our international community of dance misfits via the exclusive online forum

part two

Immersion Weekend: A personally liberating, creatively stimulating, deep-dive experience. You’ll be led to create dedicated space for your expression and creative unfolding. You’ll have a balance of solo time for creation and exploration, mixed with community and sharing time for greater insights into your own process via the reflection from another. You’ll open up to what your soul is calling you to create in a non-forced way, authentically, naturally, freely.

Saturday: 1pm-6pm, Sunday: 11am-4pm, NYC

part three (optional add-on)

Showcase Performance: In addition to sharing your dance piece with our private group during the weekend, you have the option to get on stage with us at a future Showcase! Join fellow soloists and group dancers from the current You Can Dance Again program for a night of inspiration and being seen for who you are among a supportive group and audience.

what people are saying:

I have few words to describe this experience. Just the joy in my heart, the tears in my eyes, the hope in every cell. I am once again immersed in a creative space and I am thankful for Jess’ magical tough, great facilitation, and doula work. I will keep dancing.
